What’s new: Lunatic!

Well obviously, almost everything except the blog posts and the man behind.

This blog is now called Lunatic!, written on the blog title up there. You freak CSS inspectors will find that I actually leave the ‘Pria Purnama aka anima’ behind (or in front of, literally) that title. Pardon my greed, I’m new to SEO.

Lunatic! is now using wordpress 2.3

The upgrade was bumpy. ((I think it happened to x3me too)) I didn’t quite understand the reason but it seems like wordpress 2.3’s database upgrade deleted the post2cat table, thus resulted in category loss on just about everything and error occured every now and then. I didn’t want to re-categorize everything, so I deleted everything, reinstalled wordpress, restore my 2.1 backup and reupgrade the database and voila!

5 minutes and we’re already up and running again.

I’m not really used to using tags even though I’ve been using the Ultimate Tag Warrior since my last attempt using K2 and it’s pretty archives ((which was somewhat unsatisfactory due to my lack of consistency)), but I’m using it anyway.

Poke me!

Already note that little button above? It triggers the black drawer where I put information about me and the search form. It’s hidden just for the heck of it, really..

The Neighborhood

There are links that goes out to my friends now, if you’d like to be listed don’t hestitate to let me know. Links are set up to show 5 random items on each view, so if you don’t see the link that goes to your blog.. keep on refreshing :p

Widgets altogether

Widgets are grouped on bottom right hand side, altogether. Still looking for useful plugins to put there. It’s easy anyway, I just drag-drop things on the widgets panel and it will show there. You know, a lot of people says working with wordpress is tough. ((is it, now?))

Well it is, a little.

Yes, just a little. All you ever need to learn is a little html, a little and a little PHP. After you got a bit of it then you’re ready to go. You can do everything with wordpress, not just blogs.

Lunatic! is xHTML and CSS valid, finally

The previous skin, _minima, was not xHTML valid therefore it’s CSS couldn’t be validated too. The only element that made it not xHTML valid was the Flickr badge. Well, no big deal. I’ll just look for something else later :D

Smart archives instead of Pretty archives

I’ve been using Extended live archives for some time, until it has come to my realization that it’s not really what I need. Yes it’s pretty and all that, but I needed something that shows everything on page load. Justin Blanton’s Smart archives does just that. Check out my archives page, untidy but pretty much useful.

Fancy Footnotes

Yeah footnotes, why not? It would be great to have footnotes on the posts, it’s fun to scroll up and down and up and..

And then..

Bunch of thanks to iconfinder.net for the pretty((and free)) icons, to kusaeni for the inspiration bits, to Christian Montoya for the comments.php template and to Deny for pointing the missing slash closing tag on comments.php’s hidden input.

So what do you think about the new look?
