That word reminds me of some credit card commercial, but that’s not what this is about.
#Priceless is a project we’re having on twitter where we share a story about our priceless moments everyday. One tweet a day, tag it with #priceless. By far some of the guys have joined the fun, and you should too! :)
I am in bed with my granny, she is telling me stories about life.
I don’t know how old granny is, but I do know that she’s been around since I was small (ya iyalah). I’ve always been her favorite grandson from her favorite daughter, she stayed with our family since I was born for almost three years.

Granny’s a nomad, since she has ten kids that lives in the island she is given freedom of where she’d like to stay. She usually stays at an uncle’s place for 6 months and then moved to another uncle. She started living nomad since Grandpa died, that was thirteen years ago. I guess she just couldn’t bear to live and sleep in the same bed where her late husband used to sleep. That must’ve hurt like shit, being left like that. Divine intervention sucks.
Given the fact I am her favorite grandson and Mom is her favorite daughter, she really enjoyed living with us. We had this little green field where she used to plant flowers and stuffs, she loves gardening.

When we moved house, her eldest son took granny to live with him in Singaraja to live in her real house. Haven’t seen her often since that, only once in a while when I go there in Galungan and Kuningan. Now she is back in Denpasar because she is sick :(
I visited her this morning when I tweeted the #priceless, I was in bed with her (shit, that sounds dirty, jangan dibahas lah!). She was telling me stories about life, including me when I was a kid, mom when she was still young and stuffs like that. I realized that she’s been thru a lot, and now I know when someone is getting older, they behave like a kid again.
Granny’s old, she’s been thru a lot and she deserves the best treatment there is. This is the part where me and the rest of the family come in. I wish she asked to stay at my house so me and mom can take care of her and she can go gardening again just like she always did.
For now, I will be there for her as she was there for me. Love ya granny!

A couple of months ago I got myself an iPod touch because it’s pretty. It sure is pretty and flashy, managed to turn heads everytime I pull it out of my pocket. Great gadget, I must say. It’s like having a little mac.
After toying (and getting used) with it for two months I switched back to my lovely SonyEricsson w910i. Here’s why:
I cannot skip tracks on the go.
Well I can, but it’s a hassle and it’s very dangerous both for me and the iPod. To skip tracks on iPod touch I have to: press the home button > slide on the screen to unlock > press next button > tap the lock button.
Here’s how I skip tracks on my w910i: press and hold the goddamned volume button.
Skipping tracks easily is essential. Period.
It is relatively big, and the screen is somewhat feels vulnerable.
That’s why I’m afraid of putting it inside my pocket because I might break it or scratch the screen. It’s too beautiful. Different with the w910, it feels tough and I can literally shake it.
The earphone is not that great.
It’s nothing special, it’s just the regular iPod earphone, I got the same one when I bought a shuffle a few months ago. It’s not that I’ve very sensitive ear, it’s just that the earphones don’t reduce any noice from outside so I still hear the vroom vrooms and honk honks. And it sucks :(
I’m not saying that iPod Touch is not a good gadget, it’s just that I can’t use it optimally so it only resides in the pocket of my backpack now. Sad, yes. But I hope there will come the time when I can use it again. And also I’m not saying that w910 is a better gadget, it just happen to be the best music player for me now.
And of course, there are some neat features I miss from the iPod that w910 doesn’t have. Genius playlist. It fucking rocks dude, srsly.
