And it ends with a catfight

I was going to tell a story but it’s too sad and inappropriate, too disturbing even for me. So let’s talk about something less disturbing, like shopping.

Shopping is overrated, seriously. Period. No arguing, it IS overrated.

Early talk on 2008 ending

2008 has been a marvelous year when good things really start happening. When 2007 ended I moved with Mom and Rega and I guess that’s where it all started.

I started working for Baru di Bali in April 2007 as a web designer serabutan. I do html, photography and also content editing, I played superman and it was fun. Moving out from BaliBiz was a good decision after all, not long after I left the company it collapsed. Somehow I was not surprised to find it happen :p

At the same time, freelance clients also seem to come one at a time. Not a lot, but enough, eventually leads to my switching to Mac. Even though I still can’t completely leave out Windows because of work *you can hear me grumbling silently, cursing Internet Explorer*

Love life.. a lot has happened and you don’t really want to know about it, trust me. So let’s save it for another post and carry on :D

Since August, I’ve been active twittering because I discovered a crowd of really cool people there. JTUG guys, you know who you are! I have also been negative to the other microblogging service, later I discovered that I hate it because there’s too many noises there. Plus, I don’t really get along with some people there. Yes what can I say, I’m picky.

A couple of months ago I joined Trippert Labs as a remote markup engineer (whoa that STILL sounds cool!), still can’t belive my luck on this. Out of the blue someone from the company emailed me asking if we could have an interview and here I am now.

A remote worker.

Practically I work from everywhere now. First month working for Trippert Labs, I did not find the work rhythm yet, I can’t seem to find the mood for working from my own house (and mini-apartment). So I started hunting for good places to work, so far my favorite is Tiara Food Point Denpasar. And no, this has nothing to do with the fact that the food point has a pool view where every afternoon high school girls in bikinis swim. Zettai not that.

Working nomad exhausts me, lucky I’ve found a perfect spot where I can use for a small office. Me and the boys are moving to a new office space in Renon area, Denpasar, in January. This really excites me to the fullest, I’m already thinking about decorating the new office with a media center, too bad no budget for a mac mini yet :(

And that wraps 2008 for me, a bit early to say it and there might be some really good news going to happen this month. Not keeping the hopes up, but I am anticipating the new year with positive thoughts. Hue? Since when have I changed? I am not a skeptic anymore, help!

Some weird pictures I took from my trips

I still have a lot more on my phone, but the crappy internet connection keeps me from uploading all. But anyways, based on the two pictures above, what conclusion can we draw?

We need better education? Or what?
